Haha middle aged high Leo was not in my movie bingo for 2025 but I loved every minute of it. So many memorable scenes. Definitely recommend. The pacing was great. They packed a lot in in the almost 3 hr movie and I never felt bored. Paul anderson did an awesome job. Acting 10/10. All hail Saint Nick!

Reviews from Movi members
Excellent movie. I saw this in 70mm IMAX with a sizeable audience which was a pleasure of an experience. As I have reviewed movies more seriously, I have found that the thing I am looking for most is a clear, or at least coherent message in a movie, and the ability to make me feel something while watching. This movie did both very well. With very close and intimate shots on such a huge screen I did feel really connected to the story. Despite being set in the West and Southwest of the United States I really felt at home in this environment, but similarly not comfortable. I loved the theme of 'what happens after the revolution?' There have been movies about what happens in a revolution fails (star wars did it like 4 times), but never a close examination of what happens to revolutionaries after a failed revolution. What happens to their families? How does the trauma transfer farther down the lineage? I think this movie explores it very well while also being a very engaging action movie. I think it used 3 hours very well and I love that in the final climactic end, you had 3 different parties all trying to kill each other for various reasons built up over decades. Very good stuff. Like said before, beautifully shot, very engaging and terrifying at times. I loved this movie.
Great acting from decaps and Sean penn and good concept overall, but the freaked out Sean penn and the girl stuff was a bit wack imo. Cool plot though idk where they come up with this shit
