goldenbrown9.8August 12, 2026holy shit. Somehow, despite his flaws, I really rooted for Howie. Sandler is INCREDIBLE in this. It’s well written, and reminds me of the Death Of a Salesman a bit. The twist caught me COMPLETELY off guard. Slow burn, but felt quick? Julia was wonderful. Everyone in this film, every part, was great. It had its kinks but it was great. Sandler’s best. The scene with him crying? Sobbed. I related to him on some level. And Julia being genuinely sweet? Incredible. I wish it worked out for him, actually. I originally thought he’d off himself but this ending is much more fitting, even if not ‘satisfying’. It was THRILLING, had me at the edge of my seat. Wanted to crawl outta my skin!
