Synopsis

Memory burns.

Sophie reflects on the shared joy and private melancholy of a holiday she took with her father twenty years earlier. Memories fill the gaps between camcorder footages as she tries to reconcile the father she knew with the troubled man she didn't.

As someone who also lost a parent as a child, ive discovered that grief transforms with time. How do we reconstruct and piece back a person who is no longer here? How do we wrestle with a relationship that is simultaneously static and evolving? It is an archaeological and Sisyphean task. And it (and this movie) is haunting The camerawork is amazing and I can’t believe how underrated this movie is
